Release Notes
FORT API
v1.0.12
- Device Details now returns the device's firmware version and a model block with the model's details, including its support end date.
- A new endpoint returns device logs in a parseable CSV format, paged in batches of at least 500 entries.
- A new Product Release Details endpoint, plus endpoints to get firmware by release or version.
- A new endpoint downloads a specific firmware version for a device type.
v1.0.3
- Return
DevicesThatNeedBlankConfig field on endpoints that modify configurations. This field is used to notify users of configurations that will still listen to the safety sender until they are either powered off or have a blank configuration applied.
- Delete Configuration
- Delete device from a configuration (when removing a receiver)
Confirm Firmware Action endpoint. Used to update FORT Manager when a firmware has been applied.
FORT CLI V2
v1.1.26
Features
- Device logging is now supported on SRCP.
- Quick Connect now supports all configuration scenarios.
- The real-time clock (RTC) can now be set on EPC and SRCP devices.
- New
device firmware sync command reads firmware off connected devices and syncs it to FORT Manager.
- Added shorter top-level command shortcuts and documented aliases (including consolidated
dfu/cfg commands) with no breakage to existing workflows.
- Shell tab-completion can now be installed directly with
fortcli completion install [shell].
- Quick Connect validates input and refuses invalid configurations instead of leaving an incomplete configuration behind.
device list --details adds a firmware-version column.
- New global
http-debugging and coap-debugging flags. Each write size-capped, rotating logs to the .fortcli folder.
- New
configuration delete command; --force removes configurations that still contain devices.
- Firmware can now be downloaded by device type and version.
Bugfixes
- Bootloader image filenames are now honored during firmware updates.
- Updated build-ID / firmware-version parsing from NXP firmware bundles.
/dev/serial/by-id/ device paths now work on all commands, not just some.
fortcli connect rejects blank serials and no longer mixes up device-to-configuration assignments.
connect --force now releases a sender from its existing active configuration.
- Quick Connect configurations built for NSCP now default OSSD to "On".
- Fixed a timestamp-conversion issue on NXP devices so logs uploaded with
device logs get now update correctly in FORT Manager.
- Pulling logs from an SRCP whose firmware does not support log retrieval now returns a clear minimum-version error.
fortcli now times out and aborts when a device disconnects or powers off during a log fetch.
- Firmware bundle applies are significantly more reliable. Added serial TX flow control and auto-retry, fixed the underlying CoAP client deadlock that caused device lock-ups, and surface clearer errors on failure.
- Full firmware apply reliability relies on firmware changes.
- Corrected PGN values so generated J1939 configurations use the right SRCP Settings and Display Text PGNs.
- Config apply/firmware error messages now report the correct
-f shorthand flag.
Deprecations
- SRCP1000 firmware and configuration updates are no longer supported.
- The unused
device connect command has been removed; it now reports as not a valid command.
